Five suspended Matrix Police Officers Sacked!

Five Police Officers from Merseysides Matrix squad (pictured) were today sacked from the force.

The Officers were sacked on the spot at a disciplinary panel, after photos were found on a mobile phone of an Officer being investigated for theft, showing them larking around and posing with household items whilst carrying out a house search.

After a three month internal inquiry in which Police Sgt Charlie Tennant was sacked and is currently on bail, the five constables in the photo were found guilty of gross misconduct and were also sacked.

85 yr old gets six months for videoing in a Public place - FREE Norman Scarth!

Norman Scarth (pictured) is 85 years old, and a World war II veteran. In his latter years of life, he finds himself still fighting tyranny, as in his retirement his life has ben hijacked by constant harrassment and targetting by the bullying authorities and Police.

This is the kind of oppression that he and so many others fought against, many dying in the process.

Norman was jailed in July 2011 for SIX MONTHS, for an alledged "contempt of court" when he was found video recording his own court porceedings, (are there not CCTV cameras in every "court").

This is an evil and barbaric way to treat an 85 year old man! Norman is currently in Armley prison in Leeds. You can write to him at;

European Court of Human Rights rules Random Stop & Search illegal

Judges in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, today ruled that randomly stopping and searching people without having a reasonable suspicion that they have committed a crime, is illegal and a violation of Article 8 of the Human Rights Convention which states everyone has the right to ‘respect’ for their private and family life.

The claim was brought by Kevin Gillan and Pennie Quinton, who were stopped by police while on their way to a demonstration outside the annual arms fair at the Excel centre, in London's Docklands, in September 2003.

Quinton, a journalist, was ordered to stop filming the protest despite showing her press card, while Gillan, who was riding his bicycle, was only allowed to go on his way after 20 minutes. They were awarded €33,850 (£30,400) in costs and expenses.

The UK Government has stated that they may appeal and will be ignoring the ruling as Home secretary Alan Johnson said: ‘Police will continue to have these powers available to them.’

In my opinion, the Police will be now be behaving illegally under Human Rights legislation, if they search someone without reasonable suspicion, they would be held personally responsible, regardless of what the government policy is.

'Facial mapping' technology to catch criminals from CCTV footage on the way

"Merseyside Police are within months of setting up the country's first system that recognises suspected criminals and terrorists from CCTV footage. The 'facial mapping' scheme will enable officers to identify wanted criminals within minutes of being caught on tape.

It will compare photos from a digital mugshot database with film and stills from a crime scene and come up with around ten of the closest matches.

To build up its mugshot database, Merseyside Police – which is running the pilot scheme along with Lancashire Police and West Yorkshire Police – is taking digital photographs of 70,000 suspects arrested in Liverpool every year.

These include those accused of minor crimes such as motoring offences and the images will be retained even if they are not charged with any offence."

The footage shot by police, who were policing the protest at the Kingsnorth power station in Kent last August, has been handed to the Independent Police Complaints Commission, according to the protesters."

Charity bike ride to Wigan

A group of lads from Parbrook Road in Huyton took part in a sponsored bike ride to Wigan today in support of a neighbour in need. They planned to ride the 16 miles from Huyton to the JJB stadium in Wigan.

After a 3 hour ride, the lads succesfully accomplished their feat, but not without a mishap or two along the way.

Here's a short clip of one of the lads taking a nasty tumble.

Unlawfully Arrested by the Matrix - Part 1

On the evening of Wed 27th May 2009 at 7.30pm, I was travelling in my fully insured, taxed and MOT'd car to my house, having just picked up my friend who lives about a mile from me. We were intending to watch the Champions League Final between Man Utd and Barcelona.

I had already noticed a convoy of Police vehicles patrolling the area on my way to my friends house, and on our way back to my house we were suddenly surrounded by three Police vehicles at a junction and signalled to pull over.

I drove across the junction and pulled onto the left, and Police vehicle stopped behind me and a Matrix minbus pulled up in front. I switched off my engine, undid my seatbelt, got out of my car and stepped onto the pavement to ask an Officer why I had been stopped by three Police vehicles, as we were simply going home to watch the match which kicked off in less than ten minutes and we had not been observed or had we been breaking the law.

An Officer(PC Mark Andrew Gibbs 1039) replied, "We don't need a reason, we can pull anyone, anytime, We are the Police." Another Officer (Sgt Charlie Tennant 1122) approached me and asked what my name was, I replied that I shouldn't have to give my name yet, as I have not been told the reason for the stop.

This Officer then grabbed hold of both my wrists, dragged me to the Matrix van and assaulted me by pushing me inside the vehicle. I was then threatened with violence by both Officers, who informed me in no uncertain terms "not to mess with them".

As I was concerned that I was going to be further physically assaulted, I proceeded to give them my details and I informed them of the fact that I had never been in trouble with the Police in my life, but I was not believed. I was then bundled into a Police carrier, made to sit on the floor, handcuffed, whilst these two officers and another two (namely PC Joanne Kelly 2782 and PC Jason Jones 5899) continued to behave abusive and threatening, attempting to provoke me and treating me with absolute disrespect.

My car was left unlocked where I'd been stopped and I was then handcuffed and driven 5 miles away, being threatened all the way, without being told the reason for my detainment, taken to a Police station, where I was denied a phone call to my family, stripped searched, fingerprinted, eye scanned, face scanned and DNA taken, all without my consent and locked in a cell for five hours, all for asking why I had been stopped.

After all this, I was then given a notice reqesting that I pay £80 or come to a court and "defend" "my" disorderly behaviour, and left to make my own way home from 5 miles away.
